The PentaComm uses the famous Orbcomm satellite constellation and infrastructure — dozens of communications satellites continuously orbiting the Earth, relaying communications from PentaComm units at tank sites, to ground-based communications networks that reach you anywhere — to provide prompt communications access to your remote tanks in the most difficult-to-reach places.
The PentaComm is housed in a rugged NEMA 4X enclosure, allowing it to meet the most demanding requirements. Inside the PentaComm, are a battery, satellite transceiver, and input circutry to connect up to five 4-20mA or 0-5 volt data signals, in any combination.
PentaComm units are particularly popular for Oil and Gas Fields, Oxygen tanks at hospitals, Lift Stations, Ag Chemical/Feed Stations, Livestock Feed Tanks, Remote-storage tank farms — and for any situation where the monitor unit must be independent of ground-based communications systems.
